We recently attended the grand opening of The Sinclair, a Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel, in downtown Fort Worth.
It was originally built in 1929, as an office space for the Sinclair Oil Company. In 2013, the building was updated and converted to a luxury boutique hotel. Touted as the world’s first all-digital hotel, the rooftop bar on the 17th floor is sure to be a big draw – for guests and locals alike.
TMA-CHA Architects was tasked with designing the enclosure for the rooftop bar. The project was a great opportunity to add contemporary elements that compliment the classic Art Deco design of the original building. Consisting of a glass wall system that came from Spain, the glass panels can be fully or partially retracted. This allows guests to enjoy the weather and the panoramic views of downtown Fort Worth.
Congratulations to The Sinclair! It was an honor to be a part of this project.
